Barry Garelick's Presentation on the State of Math Education in the US

There are many of us fighting for what's right for proper math education, and one who has also written about this extensively, is Grade 8 Math Teacher/author, Barry Garelick.  I just finished watching his latest presentation and he has given me his permission to post it here.

Although Barry's discussion focuses on math education in the United States, it's eerily similar to our own situation in British Columbia, and across Canada. I would encourage this to be shared.  He does an excellent job explaining where the problems are, how they came about, and hopefully we can encourage others to advocate for proper math instruction for their kids.
